Supplied: Manufacture and installation of 208 no finger joints
A40 Westway, London - Finger Joint Manufacture and Installation
A40 Westway, a 3.5 mile long elevated dual carriageway section of the A40 trunk road in West London, running from Paddington to North Kensington, was constructed to relieve congestion of Shepherds Bush caused by traffic from Western Avenue struggling to enter central London.
AMEY’s report findings on the A40 Westway revealed failure of the existing 40 year old finger joints as a result of corrosion and fatigue caused by excessive horizontal and vertical stress loads
