Ekspan has achieved its highest recognition for its commitment to occupational health and safety in an award scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
Ekspan were proudly presented the Gold Award in the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards ceremony held at Birmingham’s Hilton Metropole Hotel, by Francis Richardson (RoSPA Director of Operations) on Wednesday 14th May 2014.
The RoSPA Awards scheme dates back 58 years and is the largest and longest-running programme of its kind in the UK. The scheme recognises commitment to accident and ill health prevention, and is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas. The scheme not only assesses accident records, but also health
and safety management systems, including
practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Since its formation in 1990, Ekspan continues to grow and enjoy commercial success offering structural solutions in the mechanical dynamics of movement control of buildings, bridges, highways, car parks, pipelines, wind turbines, offshore platforms, large machinery and fabrications, and bespoke engineering projects.
Equal to this growth and success are naturally inherited H&S risk issues. Ekspan fully understands the paramount importance of occupational health and safety procedures given that its work is often carried out in difficult or hostile environments, including extremes of temperature and corrosion, and working in remote and challenging locations including offshore.
