Ekspan designed, manufactured and supplied bridge bearings to customer requirements. All bridge structures were new build structures which have been designed with Ekspan pot bearings manufactured to EN1337.
Ekspan supported the construction joint venture with considerable technical information for the supply of the pot bearings and unique drawings detailing the bearing articulation plans to aid the installation process.
The bearings were integrated within a complex delivery process, in line with customer’s individual structure construction programmes to ensure minimal disruption to onsite operations. Ekspan attended regular site meetings throughout the whole contract period to provide full support in pot bearing requirements, review of installations and development of the project programme.
