Ekspan are a Sheffield based mechanical engineering company operating in structural bearings and expansion joints for supply to the Civils, Highways and Offshore markets. Ekspan work worldwide both in manufacturing and installing their own products.
An exciting new vacancy has arisen for the right individual to assist the sales team with various duties, including order processing; quality assurance/management; sales/marketing activities; material purchasing and general office duties. An existing knowledge of engineering would be desirable, but not essential.
The successful applicant will be customer focused, as we pride ourselves on offering the highest level of service.
Responsibilities:
In conjunction with the responsibilities listed in your contract of employment, your specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

First line response to incoming phone/email enquiries

Liaise with sales team to pass on enquiries / provide administration support

Interact and liaise with clients / inter-departments on order requirements, quotations and service

Process new orders for Ekspan products

Create invoicing packs for accounts management

Preparing quotations and correspondence for Ekspan products

Provide accurate and timely reports and returns in relation to generic Ekspan sales figures

General support to the sales and service team

Open, distribute and deal with own enquiries/emails

Promotion and sales of Ekspan products

Attendance at exhibitions, events and networking opportunities

Develop a technical understanding of Ekspan standard products

Planning order dispatch and tracking

Close liaison with suppliers/colleagues ensuring orders are met and delivered on time

Completion and distribution of operating and maintenance manuals to clients post project completion
Qualifications (essential):
-
You will have Sales Office/Customer Service experience
-
Ability to deal with a broad range of clients and consulting engineers
-
Aptitude to process tasks from inception through to successful conclusion

Excellent written and verbal communications skills
-
Proficient in computer systems and use of IT programs (MS Office)

You will be reliable, diligent and precise

Ability to work confidently and effectively under own initiative and as part of a team
We are looking for someone who can work with complete diligence and utmost attention to detail to ensure that all work is professionally administered.
The salary for this position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
